Intellectual property law firm based in downtown Portland seeks technically-trained individual interested in starting a career in patent law.



Candidates must have a science or engineering degree. Industry experience and advanced degrees are appreciated but not required. Those who have recently completed degrees are welcome and encouraged to apply.



Primary responsibilities include helping firm clients patent inventions by assisting attorneys and patent agents prepare and file patent applications with the United States Patent and Trademark Office.



This is an entry-level position with opportunities for significant advancement. We will provide extensive training and support to help the candidate advance within the firm and become a certified patent agent.



Starting salary:

• $30,000 to $45,000 depending on experience and qualifications
