Omedia, a Portland-based user-centered design group specializing in creating design and strategy solutions

for high profile and Fortune 500 companies, is looking for a Visual Designer. The Visual Designer’s work

includes concepting and visual design support on various simultaneous projects, working under direction from

the Creative Lead.



Responsibilities

Individual will be working in an agency design team working with Creative Lead and visual design team on

project and account work including
software user-interface design, web design, flash development, and print collateral.




Additional responsibilities:

• Provide estimates and schedule info


• Complete project deliverables as defined by project leads


• Provide status updates


• Posting and maintenance of all deliverables


• Communicate scope changes to project leads and receive approval prior to doing work


• Documentation and organization of graphic assets

Qualifications


Requirements for the job include a degree in design and an agency background. Must have experience with

the user-centered design process, web design, interface design, wireframe development, icon development,

storyboard development, illustration, and print materials. A background in fine arts is also beneficial.

• Proactive attitude in exploring design possibilities beyond initial direction


• Ability to collaborate and constructively interact within team environment


• Understanding of corporate branding


• Customer management skills


• Team Communication skills


• Background in icon design


• Exposure to print design as well as current and past design trends


• Extensive experience in interface design, storyboarding and wireframes


• Experience working with human factors engineers and usability teams


• Extremely proficient in one or more of the following:





• Photoshop


• Illustrator


• Flash


• InDesign


• MS Expression Blend





• Working understanding of Javascript, HTML, CSS and XML is helpful
