Deployment Analyst w/background in Batch Scheduling

3 month contract position fora highly-skilled deployment analyst.
Duties:
Execution of deployment requests and timely communication of success or failure of the deployment execution is driven moment by moment by the defined Factory process.
Deployment standards and processes must be followed.
Besides execution of deployment, the ability to transfer knowledge to others is crucially important to this role.
The refinement and improvement of processes is a minor role that will also be served by this position.
Processes include package promotion, addition of new items to repositories.
Other deployment related tasks may be added as skill and expertise is demonstrated.
Perfect candidate will have experience in both batch scheduling and application code deployment.
Must have understanding of both batch and deployment, and at least 3 years experience in IT operations role.
May be from operations background.
Should have very good written and verbal communication skills.
Duties will include following documented procedures to implement code and batch changes, analysis of change requests, communication with requester and team, running test jobs, altering schedules, validating test runs, fielding requests for clarification documentation validation and technical review.
Perferred skills include
1) hands on experience with ControlM (or other scheduling utility), especially creating batch job schedules,
2) experience with Endevor or other mainframe source repository such as Panvalet or Librarian,
3) at least 3 years experience in either batch scheduling or application code deployment, 4) solid skill with standard MS Office applications especially Word and Excel.
Other applicable skills: Windows, UNIX, mainframe, knowledge of database replication, MS Access, Visio, XML, VB Script and Perl.
This position may require on call hours, which are paid as straight hours, and the on call is typically decided by you and the team as a whole together.
