We are a high-tech start-up in Beaverton, that is looking for a motivated and organized QA and Build Engineer to help improve the quality of our software development tools. Successful candidates must have excellent programming skills, experience working in a developer-level QA or validation environment, configuration management and build management experience, and the ability to prioritize and execute multiple high priority tasks.



Responsibilities:

• Document and communicate repeatable, traceable, and scalable configuration management, build, and release processes and procedures

• Improve current testing efficiency, expand regression test coverage, and increase build reliability

• Maintain builds, tests, and code base for multiple simultaneous branches

• Investigate regression test failures to determine the causal area

• Create and execute test and validation plans

• Write and edit automated test scripts

• Write defect reports and verify fixes

• Reproduce issues reported by other testers and developers

• Verify that the software is ready for shipment





Qualifications:

• Strong experience in QA/validation methodology and software development best practices

• Configuration management and build management experience

• Ability to troubleshoot test and build failures

• Programming skills with Java, Assembly, C++, C)

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Organized, detail-oriented personality

• Knowledge of Windows and UNIX operating systems

• Knowledge of JUNIT, Eclipse, Perl,and Python are plusses

• Strong configuration management and version control experience

• Sense of urgency and ability to execute multiple high priority tasks



Education: BSCS or equivalent

Experience: 4+ years
