My boyfriend and I have recently returned from a volunteer trip in South America. Right now we are living with his dad, and, well, we really need our own place. We're hoping for either a Sept. 1st or 15th move-in, but we are waiting for a place we'll want to spend the next 2 or 3 years in at least. We want to pay about $800, but maybe a bit more for extra amenities.



What we need:

+indoor/outdoor cat friendly

+hard something flooring (isaac, the boyfriend, has allergen-induced asthma and vacuuming just isn't enough)

+central heat

+2 bedrooms preferably, but will look at 1 bedroom places too

+off-street parking for one car

+close to max/bus lines



What we would really, really love:

+gas stove (so important, i almost listed it above)

+gardening space

+deck/porch

+fireplace

+on-site or in-unit laundry

+upper level, unless part of a house, then we don't care



And, lastly, absolutely no:

-basements

-huge apartment complexes

-suburbs



location is everything. we're looking for close-in se and ne. not farther south than woodstock/reed area, not farther north than alberta (and only that far if place is absolutely perfect), and probably not much farther east than 50th. if place is along max or burnside, we might consider it outside these boundaries.
