This position is with a research core at OHSU which provides informatics support to researchers, educational programs, and other core laboratories. Flexibility is required for this small group which provides a number of functions to the research and educational community. Key responsibilities will include the following: Improve the informatics infrastructure for researchers through administration of Linux and Windows servers used for research, with particular concern for compliance with HIPAA and OHSU privacy and security policies Creation and administration of research databases. Development of desktop or web-based applications used for research Creation and maintenance of web sites used for support of clinical and basic science research . Work with researchers to define their informatics needs and create requirement and specification documents.

Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field. Experience with MS Access, Cold Fusion, Oracle or MSSQL Server required. Experience in management of Linux and Windows servers including networking and security preferred. Experience in medical environment is a plus
