Immediate opening for a Designer/Art Director with a small, design agency in Boise.



POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsible for developing/assisting in the development of vision/concepts, marketing projects and initiatives. The individual works as part of a design team and may also work with another creative team member as assigned. The branding team concept requires full cooperation between creative and account management partners. Reports to the Creative Director.



Requirements

Designs packaging, in-store displays, brochures, booklets, fliers, ads, and more, according to strategic plans provided by creative director/account manager and client.



• Meets as needed with client management team members to ensure coordination on timelines, brands, briefs etc.



• Works with other art directors, designers and additional designated “team” personnel in production of said materials.



• Works with creative director and production management in selection of papers, inks and outside sources/purchases needed to fulfill production of each project the art director designs.



• Strives to meet assigned deadlines. Communicates with creative director/account management and production manager(s) if deadlines cannot be met for any reason, or if an extension is required.



• Reviews all production materials on assigned projects, and signs off prior to forwarding job to the relevant departments for further required approvals.



• Art directs photography sessions, tapings, press-proofings, etc., and supervises freelancers assigned to projects as requested by creative director.



• Meets with account manager/studio manager as required to ensure timely, accurate completion of assigned projects.



• Keeps creative director informed of need to upgrade design-related computer hardware/software.



• Has working knowledge of computer design software and hardware and strives to stay current in level of knowledge and abilities.



• Perform additional duties as deemed appropriate by the creative director.
