Key Accountabilities

This position is responsible for graphic design and development of various projects. These may include but are not limited to: packaging design, fashion development, rendering requests, catalog development, layout of sell sheets and various ‘books’, advertising design, web design, logo design, new product design, etc. This position handles a lot of last minute, quick turn requests and works closely with the product developer to develop new product lines or fashion related items.





Minimum Qualifications

5-7 years life and work experience as a graphic designer and/or production artist. A degree in graphic design or related is strongly desired. Individual must be team player, work well under pressure and be able to work independently. Highly organized and strong attention to detail is a must. Must have positive and flexible attitude and be a quick learner. Must be willing to perform duties outside the regular job description. Good communication skills and an ability to lead will lend to success in this position. Must be punctual with good attendance. Strong graphics related computer skills - including Quark, Photoshop, Illustrator, PowerPoint, InDesign, Corel applications, scanning software, all in a PC environment. Web experience necessary; program knowledge of Dreamweaver and Flash.



This position is housed in the Sales, Marketing and Design department. The Graphic Designer will be working on a team of 8 and will be expected to contribute to the productivity and creativity of the department.



Preferred Qualifications

Preferred experience in one or more of the following areas: graphic design, production artist, creative director. Knowledge of printing applications, web design, industrial design, current fashion trends and/or photography is a plus. Existing relationships or knowledge of outside vendors such as printers, photographer, etc., also helpful.



Physical Requirements

Must be able to travel occasionally, locally (press checks and various project related errands) and approx. 2 times a year to for trend related shows or company related meetings. Must be able and willing to assist in photo shoots.
